The girls got off to a good start today, playing a good Kiski 4
team to a 2-2 tie. Only a late goal
by Kiski with less than two minutes in the game prevented Harmar from coming
away with the victory. Harmar scored
first on a goal by Sara Udanis, then Kiski came back and tied the score
before the end of the first half. In
the second half Harmar scored first again, netting a second goal off of a
penalty kick by Sara Udanis(2), then a late goal by Kiski finished out the
scoring. Katie Adler played an
exceptional game in goal in the second half, making several key saves and
Colleen Garrigan played strong defense to keep Harmar in the lead |

The girls came out on a Tuesday night to make the week 2 game
against Highlands2 and came away with a 6-3 victory behind the strength of
four goals by Sarah Udanis, giving her nine for the season. Also scoring for Harmar was Erin Doris (2)
and netting her first goal of the season was Brittany Smajda. The girls played hard all night, even
though there were some confusing moments from the sideline. It was good to see the girls get through
it and stay together to earn the victory.

The
girls came out smoking today with a very strong offensive performance,
overwhelming TriCity 2 by the score of 8-0.
Five different Harmar girls got on the score sheet today with Sarah
Udanis collecting the hat trick, giving her a team leading five goals for the
season. Sarah also played well in
goal during the second half, with several long clearing punts. Emma Whelan got her first two goals of the
season and Erin Doris, Sarah Kubler, and Colleen Garrigan all scored for the
first time this season. Colleens goal
came after a great corner kick by Sarah Udanis, while Erins goal was an
especially nice one, a long shot that went in on the fly from about 30 yards
out. Way to go girls, nice all around
effort. |

Week 4 featured our girls hosting a strong Knoch2 team. Harmar jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and
never looked back, winning the match by the score of 5-2. Sarah Udanis once again led the way,
scoring three goals, bringing her total for the season to twelve. Sarah Kubler scored her second goal of the
season and Rebecca Kern netted her first of the season. The defense was especially strong today
with several girls making key contributions.
Colleen Garrigan and Brittany Smajda were super as well as Elizabeth
Roney and Erin Doris. This was by far
the best we've played all season....GREAT JOB GIRLS! |

The
Harmar girls came out smokin' this week and defeated Freeport2 by the score
of 7-2. A strong all-around effort by
all the girls led to a dominating victory.
Sarah Udanis led the scoring attack with three more goals this week,
bringing her season total to 15. Emma
Whelan and Erin Doris both knocked in two goals of their own, giving each
four for the season. The girls have
come a long way in the last few weeks, and their efforts are paying off. |

This week the Harmar girls ran into a strong team in Kiski3, and
were defeated by the score of 4-1.
Kiski scored quickly but our girls fought back to tie the game 1-1
before the half. But in the second
half Kiski continued to apply pressure and scored three unanswered
goals. The loan goal for Harmar
belonged to Sarah Udanis, her team leading 16th of the season. The girls played well despite the
loss. They never quit trying,
continuing to apply pressure up until the final whistle. The girls are playing good disiplined
soccer, Kiski was just a little too much for us to handle today. |

Week 7 brought a good TriCity1 team to town, and our Harmar
girls sent them home unhappy, defeating TriCity by the score of 4-2. The game was well played by both
teams. Harmar featured a balanced
scoring attack for the first time this year, with four different girls
scoring goals. Sarah Udanis(17), Erin
Doris(5), Emma Whelan(5) and Jessica Arch(1) scored for Harmar. The Harmar girls played some strong defense
in the second half, lead by a strong effort by Colleen Garrigan, who is
quietly becoming a very competent defender. |

The girls closed out the fall season with a great effort against
Freeport1 this week, and came away with a 5-1 victory. Leading the charge as she has all season
was Sarah Udanis. Sarah scored three
more goals, bringing her season total to 20, a true sniper has been
born. Also contributing goals were
Sarah Kubler with her third and Rebecca Kern with her second, nice work
girls. All those goals look nice on
the score sheet, but this game could not have been won without the strong
play of Brittany Smajda. Brittany
never left the field today, playing center defense throughout the entire
game. She was, quite frankly
unbeatable, and along with Colleen Garrigan and Emily Larkin the three of
them played fantastic. |
