16 teams participate: The top eight seeded teams from the Premier Division advance and the lowest seed team does not advance. The eight teams in the First Division advance. The selection of these 16 teams in this manner is predicated on our agreed format that 16 of the 17 teams in the league advance (since we have an odd number of team in the league). Please note that if we would have had 18 teams (9 in each division) in the league the bottom teams in each division would not have advanced. In addition, this format insures that only teams from the respective divisions compete for a champion and a second place team in each division. Two fields will be used. Note match times.

- A total of four trophies will be awarded. A champion and a second place trophy from each division will be presented.
- Alcoholic beverages are permitted at the Old Trafford Soccer Complex. However, it is suggested that libations be enjoyed at the The Old Trafford Sports Club on Rte 993 (Brinton Ave.)Trafford, Pa. 15085 after the scheduled matches at the Old Trafford Soccer Complex. On the other hand, the VFW on Hough Rd. across from the Century United Soccer Complex will be available after the scheduled matches at the Century United Soccer Complex since alcohol is strictly prohibited at the Century United Soccer Complex. Social members welcome.
- All matches will be two 45 minute halves. In the event of a tie score after regulation then two 10 minute overtime periods can be played with a “sudden death golden goal” prevailing. If there is still a tie after the two overtime periods, penalty kicks will be then immediately taken at the spot to determine the winner. Slide tackles are not permitted and teams may substitute freely.
- For all matches, the highest seeded team is to be considered the home team. The home team shall provide the game balls; and have the choice of their team’s color of jerseys.
- Any delay to the start of the match is limited to 30 minutes and the team causing that delay if not prepared to play the match shall forfeit the match to their opponent.
- Player passes and team rosters are required of all teams. Lineup cards are optional.
- Referees must check all of the team’s documentation prior to each match.
AN IMPORTANT REMINDER…..PLEASE NOTE
MANY OF YOU MAY KNOW THAT THERE HAVE BEEN, DURING THE COURSE OF BOTH THIS SPRING AND FALL SEASONS, A NUMBER OF UGLY AND INANE INCIDENTS INVOLVING PLAYERS FROM VARIOUS TEAMS. BEHAVIOR THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE SUCH AS VIOLENT CONDUCT; FIGHTING; SPITTING ON OPPONENTS; BOTH VERBAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE OF OFFICIALS; INAPPROPRIATE FAN CONDUCT; AND ANY SIMILAR SITUATIONS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. WPASA WILL IMPOSE FINES AND SUSPENSIONS IN ADDITION TO THE STATED PENALTIES THAT ARE CURRENTLY IN FORCE UNDER THE SANCTION OF PAWEST ADULT SOCCER.
