The Sharks got off to a good start this season with a win at
TriCity and a solid performance all around. Krysten Gedraitis had two goals
to lead the scoring. Marissa Sarsfield, Shelby Paul, and Mary Holmes each had
a goal. Brittany Zastawniak also had a goal, but it was called back due to an
off-sides call. Alexandra Gradwell showed excellent skill for her first U10
game and rookies Missy Kokoski and Emily Sikora started their seasons with
great play. Goalkeepers Kim Watterson and Marissa Sarsfield combined for 10
saves and kept TriCity from scoring. Final score Harmar 5, TriCity 0. |

After a long break between the 1st and 2nd game, the Sharks were
a little rusty posting their first loss to Freeport 4-2. Overall the girls
played well, and at the half the game was tied 1-1, however in the 2nd half
they were caught "bunching up" a lot in the middle of the field.
This lead to a number of breakaways and scoring chances for Freeport. Kim and
Marissa played well in goal combining for 11 saves. Harmar goals were scored
by Krysten and Shelby. The Sharks never quit and showed late pressure but
just could not put the ball in the net. |

This week was a very well played game against a solid Knoch
team. Again Marissa and Kim played well in goal. Harmars only goal came on a
breakaway and some fancy footwork by Brittany. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. |
